Konsul Instruments consists of a small group of engineers and photo enthusiasts, located in the city of Recife in the north-east of Brazil.
Initially, the idea for the flash duration meter arose from another photography related project where exact knowledge of flash duration was required as an essential parameter. Thereupon followed the FDM-1T whose hardware and software was entirely developed and realized in Germany and from there finally brought to Brazil.
